For confirmation.
Main connection 16" - # 25 mmm - P1 = PWHT mandatory as per Std.
Branch connection - weldolet 4" - # 14 mm - P1 = no PWHT required.
Is this thrue ??

Hi

Yes, above 19mm, you need to PWHT for P1 materials.

A side note; many situations using the ASME Codes allow exemption from PWHT as long as a 200F preheat is applied. While I do not have an ASME B31.3 in front of me I seem to recall this being one of the Codes which allow for such exemption when using the 200F preheat.
