I have been making knifes for some time and up till now got my steel cut by a machinist. I have been looking at purchasing a oxy-acetylene Kit online. I have run across both harris and victor types of kit and have read posts about both but have also run accross kits that are Harry compatible.

is harry a diffresnt brand name or do these companys (ebay and other discount warehouse have it wrong and they are a harris rig.

thanks
Kevin

Harris and Victor are competitors and like the lincoln vs miller debate many prefer one over the other but in real actuality, go to the store and look and feel. The differances will be slight, both work well. I own a craftsman set from sears but manufactured by Harris and harris heads and tip interchange just fine so availability is no problem.

Good luck making the choice.
