Dear Collegues:
Before let me apologize for my english.
Could someone give me advise about a good book about hardfacing alloys and the applications ( pulp, cement, etc... ?? )
Not a beginner book but a more detailed book.
Thanks.

Here is a link that might be of some use, it was posted a couple days ago, here on the forum, in another thread. At the very end of this document (on the last page) are several reference books listed, possibly some of them are what you are looking for.
Hope this helps,
John Wright

Hi Nuno,

There are at least two AWS publications for surfacing. A5.13 is the specification for Surfacing Electrodes for SMAW, and A5.21 is the Specification for Bare Electrodes and Rods for Surfacing. Also, if you can get your hands on a copy of The Procedure of Arc Welding, published by Lincoln Electric, it has a very detailed chapter devoted to hardsurfacing by arc welding, which is twenty pages long.

Here's another good link:

Scroll down to Section VI, Cutting and Hard Surfacing With the Electric Arc. This section includes an explanation of the hardsurfacing process, metals that can be hardsurfaced, alloys used for hardsurfacing, and hardsurfacing procedures.
