I think that a typical rating for argon/co2 cylinders is around 2400 psi. I've heard that this depends on the cylinder size, but I have also heard that the amount of pressure coming out of a 60 cf cylinder and the amount of pressure coming out of a 300 cf cylinder are essentially the same. The amount of pressure can also increase as the ambient temperature increases. The tank pressure gage on our flowmeters max out at 4000 psi. I have seen some that max out at 3000.
