I am interested in a light (110V) mig wire feed with cover gas. I am doing motorcycle restoration and would like to be able to weld up to 1/4 in. There are so many options I don't know which one to go with. What are the issues I need to be concerned with, and are there any manufacturers that I need to avoid or consider?

Bill:
I have owned a small lincoln and millers but the better machine is the millermatic 135. This will give slightly more amperage on the max end and more precise dial in for exact repeat type work. I am slightly biased towards miller but they build fine pieces of equipment and that is what a craftsman requires.

Best of luck with your choice, and happy welding

I would have to agree the miller is a good choice and you can't really go wrong
