In Table 4.10; (2) Tests on Pipe or Tubing; Production T-, Y-, K- Connection CJP Groove Welds; Qualififed Dimensions; Dihedral Angles Qualified...the footnote given (# 7) references two plates. Wouldn't this footnote be # 8 instead which qualifies dihedral angles < 30 degrees?

Which edition of D1.1 are you referring to? Have you checked the errata sheet for it? My 2002 edition has no footnote #8 on Table 4.10 and 7 would be correct. Don't have a 2004 edition handy to compare to.

I am using the 2004. I went back and checked the 2002. The #7 footnote in 2002 corresponds to #8 footnote in 2004. Thank you for the help.

Hi ziggy,
Sometimes you will run into that on these tables and figures. I don't know how they keep it as straight as they do when they are switching around tables, figures and paragraphs from code year to code year in an effort to reorganize the code.

Hi John:
I agree with you. I must say that the format change beginning with the 2002 edition was a welcome change from previous editions. It made working with the code more enjoyable.
This forum has also been a real help as well. Thank you for the input.
