A welder qualified GTAW P-44, 1 in. min. OD pipe, F-No. 4x filler metal and later qualifed GTAW P-1, 3/8 plate (0.75 filler metal t) with F-No. 6 filler metal.
(1) Does this mean he can only weld within the confines of each WPQ? or..
(2) Does this mean he can weld P-44 plate up to 0.75 filler metal t and P-1, 1 in. min. OD pipe?

Each Qualificataion stands alone. The welder would not have to use P44 base metal for the test. P-1 is allowed to be used during performance testing in some cases however the F number doesn't allow that latitude.

Thanks. My question came from looking at a demo spread sheet from C-Spec.
