Just an FYI;
The cover story article in the August Welding Journal focused on welding practices, processes and training at United Airlines which until recently I was involved in, as the recurrent training program developer and instructor and before that as a welder.
They aren't blowing smoke when they say the craftsmen and engineers at UAL are making repairs to tollerances that the manufactures often times haven't been able to match. They really are industry leaders in innovation when it comes to repair.
I wish the article had been more expansive but I guess UAL can't give up all there secrets eh?
