AWS D1.1 :2004 Table 3.1 and Annex M list the prequalified base materials. Table 3.7 list the prequalified WPS requirements. Figure 3.3 list all of the prequalified joint configurations. Keep in mind you will need to use a backing ring to maintain a prequalified status, due to the lack of access to backgouge the second side(see paragraph 3.13.3[1][2]).

Posted a reply yesterday but don't know where it went.

I simply said that in my opinion, "prequalified" addresses the joint itself. It addresses the geometry, process and materials used to fill the joint. It does not address whether you are joining plate, shapes, pipe, square or rectangular tubing. I do not have a separate pWPS for tubing, plate, shape, etc.
