AWS C3.7 Specification for Aluminum Braz

Page 1 of C3.7 lists AMS 2750 (Pyrometry) as an applicable document. Page 2, 4.2.1 specifies that all instruments shall be calibrated in accordance with AMS2750...
AMS 2750, Revision C states on the cover page (1.1) that "This specification is not applicable to brazing..."

Am I reading this incorrectly? Does AMS 2750 apply to C3.7 or not?

Hi Stevero -
My personal opinion is that the AMS 2750 Pyrometry Specification would apply to AWS C3.7:1999, Specification for Aluminum Brazing as there is no other applicable specification that I know of in USA.
If you wish an official AWS interpretation please refer to the Annex A, paragraph A3, Interpretation of Provisions of the Standard. This explains the required procedure.
