I am trying to find information on testing, specifically vacuum box testing. Can anyone give me some info on this?

Vacuum box testing of welds, among other applications, is used to test the bottom of storage tanks during tank erection.
You'll find plenty of information on the matter in the following standards:

API 650: Standard for oil and oil products storage tanks
AWWA D100: Welded steel tanks for water storage.

API is the American Petroleum Institute: www.api.org
AWWA is the American Water Works Association: www.awwa.org

Thank you for your reply. I brought up the API 650 spec to our contractor rep but he said the revised spec book didnt address the issue any more. He did say the old book had info on it but that he no longer has it. I will try to post more info but again thanks for your help.
