I would like to prepare wps for cs SS400 ( JIS std ) the strength is equivalence with ASTM A131 but SS 400 not show in table 3.1. Can I write wps follow sect. 3 of AWS d1.1. ( Prequalification of WPS )
As the subject material is not listed in the table 3.1, this cannot be used in the prequalified procedures. you need to run a PQR in order to qualify the WPS.
