I want to know how to welding P91 with GMAW?

It's hard enough to weld it with GTAW and SMAW. Why subject yourself to the additional headaches of incomplete fusion typically associated with GMAW?

We had weld with GTAW root, and GMAW fill cap.and test with RT is OK.now we will do the machinel performance .

Certainly you realize, and consistent with Mr.Sims indication, RT is not sensitive for lack of fusion type defects. Welding of P91 materials should not have "productivity" as a high priority. These materials are normally only used in critical applications, so any magin for error in their integrity is proportionately reduced.

Just to put the records straight you can use high productivity welding processes to weld P91 very successfully. If you are looking for defect free GMAW then I would suggests using FCAW as this eliminates the possibility of lack of fusion defects.

Go to www.metrode.com and us P91 as a search term and you will find all you need to know about the welding of this type of material

Hi
You may visit "Sperko Engineering Service, Inc. and look for the title of " Welding grade 91 alloy steel"
Kind regards
