besides your torches, welding machine/whip, welding hat, burning glasses, gloves, wire brush, chipping hammer and soapstone, what are your three most valued/used tools as a welder?

mine are my measuring tape, tri square and best of all my c-clamp vise grips :)

Huh?
I'm real partial to my chair.

I think the most valuable tool is a fully functional brain. With that you can accomplish almost anything.

To quote the Scare Crow "If I only had a brain"

I bet Ron's chair is choice.. maybe I can get one just like it on Ebay?

Chipping hammers mean E-6010 and little burns all over.

Measuring tape and Square means Math. I always struggle ... You will go far!

Soapstone??? I take a bath every Spring whether I need it or not :)

For light tig work I LOVE my Ingersol Rand ARO Classic pnumatic tools.... They are worth paying 3x $

For Medium fab I like my 7" Metabo grinder... another beast.

For heavy stuff, I have nothing rational, but.... I just fired up my obsolete Miller Sub-Arc hopper and hand torch, (Miller told me two weeks ago to trash everything but the powersource) the guys are making "fatty" beads that are crusing the guided bends.

Well thats 3

Edit: Just remembered my 1.5 power "Cheater Lens" After age 40 we begin to appreciate different things :)
