I'm trying to determine the heating and cooling rate for PWHT of base metal 1 inch thick SA-216 overlayed with ER316L and 1 inch thick 4130 overlayed with ER316L is there any formula or references I could look into, I'm preparing a WPS and I don't want to guess here I believe this is the right place to ask, can you help me? I will appreciate your reply

A standard up & down ramp is 200'F(93C) per hour beginning & ending at 600'F(315C).

Most usually it is OK to unwrap or take it out of the oven anytime below 600' in to still air. If you are working out side, consider weather conditions concerning that last item.
