I am looking for information in the form of specifications and or guidelines as well as a brazing service to braze 304L stainless steel to commercial pure titanium. The parts are small cylindrical fittings about ¾” diameter by ¾" long. Specifically I would like to know what filler is required and if plating before hand is also required.

Hi tcas -
We have brazed many pieces of stainless steel to CP titanium.
For a source to accomplish the brazing contact Don Hainley at 973-278-9111, Dayton Ohio. Don will discuss the filler metal and plating requirements.
The Specification for furnace brazing is AWS C3.6 which is available from Global Engineering Documents, 800-854-7179. The specification for the brazing process is developed by each company.
