Dear Sir:
I know that Ni-Hard is quite unweldable.
But we need to repair a crack. which alloy is more indicated ?

A company called Cronatron Welding Systems Inc., based in charlotte, NC has a product called Cronaweld 211 or Certanium 889SP. I have attempted Ni-hard welding a few times with these. Youre right it is almost unweldable but have succeeded on few occasions. Anyways I was only doing something on a trial basis and wasnt very serious. The components I was trying to weld werent critical. Check them out. Good luck
