I am making some outdoor wire art sculptures and I have a holbart 175 welder and right now I am using .030 wire and have the welder turned all the way down tp 1 and 10 for the wire speed. I was wondering if dropping down to .024 wire would make it easier to weld cause right now I am almost burning through to get a decent weld to hold. I am also unsing a tri-gas mix if that helps.

.024 will probably be better, If you have oxy/acetylene then brazing the junctions would be easy, perhaps the method of choice. I have no experience with it but I believe you can get bronze mig wire and braze with your mig.

C-25 would be a better gas. A little cooler, I think.
