TP Cold Wire-Feed Units
TIG PROCESS – with high welding speed
High quality, comfort and productivity

Joining of unalloyed steels, stainless steels
and aluminium alloys using the manual TIG process is an operation
which gives almost perfect results (excellent final appearance
and integrity of seams),but which is relatively slow.

Now, with the TP cold wire feed equipment, you can increase
your productivity. In fact this equipment (cold wire-feed regulating
devices)precisely reproduces the very special features of the TIG
welder who alternatively inserts and withdraws the filler metal
from the molten pool.

The welder can work with greater comfort.
No longer having to manage the wire feed, he can pay closer
attention to the welding operation; additionally ,
he has one hand free.

Principle of the process
At the front of a TIG torch, one feeds out,
at a constant speed, a cold wire which, at the same time,
effects a “back and forth ”movement.
Paying out the filler metal is ensured by a payout plate
which has 2 or 4 rollers.
The wire feed speed acts on the size of the drops
of metal which are deposited, whereas the
“back and forth ”rhythm determines the number
of drops deposited.

Relevant industrial sectors
Wherever you weld in TIG in manual applications Patent pending
and in order to avoid the spatter generated
during MIG welding applications.
• Fine sheet metal working of unalloyed steels,
stainless steels and aluminium alloys:
-vessel manufacturers,
sheet-metal workshops,
-metal furniture,
-air-conditioning,
-pipe work and general fabrication.
Note: welding galvanised steel sheet is also possible
using alternating current with needle electrode
and argon shielding gas.
• Piping in unalloyed steels
and stainless steels
for pipes with a diameter greater than 40 mm.
• Re--surfacing of moulds.
