Hello`
I have this material ASME SA516 Gr 70.
We have to make a WPQR for this, and need a litle piece that has to be 200mm thick.
Is there anyone that can help me. We are in Norway

Thank You

That is a very common material and has a UNS number of:

K02700

From CASTI Metals Black Book it cross references to the following numbers:

1.0481, DIN P295GH or 17Mn4, UK - BS 1501 Gr. 224, France - NF A 48 & AP, Russia - GOST 14G2.

Hopefully something above will help you procure the material close to where you are.

3115,
are you sure the piece you'll have to weld has a thickness of 200 millimeters (about 8 inches)?
That's a tremendous thickness! What are you going to make, a nuclear reactor?
Are you sure you didn't mix up thickness with length or width?
