Stellite # 12 Overlay

I am facing problem in overlay of Stellite #12 on AISI 304L bar stock by GTAW can anybody suggest the procedure.

What's your problem? Cracks for example?

I am getting a problem of delaied cracking the the overlay of stellite #12 on AISI304L bar stock by GTAW process with the help of 3.2 mm dia. cast rods of Stellite. I am using stringer bead, in longitudnal direction of the bar stock. Procedure of stelliting required, also guidence for repair of the cracks.

Try keeping first layer very cool; maybe under 248 degree's F. Subsequent layers, try heating entire piece to around 275 degree's F and cool very, very slowly. Also, you may want to try a slight weave when making the deposits.
