Running really hot and popping! First time usage. Test on A36 plate and understand the bucket is different material. I understand we do not want much penetration into the bucket.

We are running straight DC - between 120 - 140

Backhoe bucket - Hard Surface Job

Any comments, much appreciated.

Thank you Lawerence! I am new to the site but familair with forums! I use them for my other job! FISHING! Ha!

My hyphen did represent a minus sign and do agree that Lincoln says to run DC(+) but it is running better for use utilizing DC(-) again 1/8" rod and running at 125. It is a long process but we are making headway. Do you or anyone think it should be preheated? Again it is a backhoe bucket for a Caterpillar 2002 machine.
