Fellas,
I saw only one kind of rod at Home Depot that looked like it would work for oxy acetylene welding. Don't remember the name off hand.
Can you guys tell me what is a good rod to use for practicing on cold and hot rolled steels??
Specifics would be great, as I'm a beginner...

I mainly use RG45 in size 3/32 and 1/8 rod. It depends on a couple of different things like metal thickness, joint type/gap, and tip size. I got mine at weldingsupply.com. It's a bare rod without flux with a copper coatting.
