Hi
Im engineer in technological center from Spain. I write to ask to him on brazing of aluminium to copper. What filler metal is used? Who it´s the procees (temperature, atmosphere...)?.

Steve is correct, the direct brazing of aluminum to copper is not recommended as it results in intermetallic, which compromise the joint strength.
If the copper is plated with 0.0127 to 0.025 mm of nickel, the aluminum can be brazed to the plated copper using AWS BAlSi-4 brazing filler metal (Al-11-13% Si) using any of the standard aluminum brazing methods. Bob Peaslee
