The "B" on B acetylene cylinders stands for "Bus". That is the size cylinder used for acetylene lamps on buses pre-electric bulbs. The B valve was invented by Prestolite ~ 1906. Does anyone have information on where I might look for more information and if a patent was ever granted on the design? (The same valve is in use today almost 100 years later.) Bill Barlen
