I would like to know what kind of process/filler rod suitable for welding of Manganese steel (carbon 1.15%, Si 0.4%, Mn 13%) to Manganese steel. My objective is to increase productivity either by GMAW OR FCAW.
Currently we are using SMAW and productivity is low (plus operator discomfort).

Sometimes we have observed centreline crack on the weld. Is it due to excessive current OR electrode quality or material defect..? Any inputs to avoid rework is welcome.

You can use Stoody Nicromang wire:

You can also use Certanium 706. Good luck.
