I have a Firepower Portable kit with a 20 cu ft Oxy and a 10 cu ft Acetylene bottle, held in a plastic caddy. Apparently the handle of this caddy also acts as valve protection (there is no cap).

How would you recommend transporting this kit? Is it necessary to chain it vertically in the back of my pickup?

Should the bottles be stored in the caddy side by side, or should I separate them when not in use?
