Is inspection of welds required by d1.1

We are a Prefabricated building company fabricating steel trusses. We are welding our fabrications to AWS D1.1 & D1.3. What level of inspection are we required to adhere to (ie. Full, spot or random) when the contract does not refer to weld inspection.
We mostly perform Visual Inspection unless the contrat specifies otherwise.
Does AWS D1.1 or D1.3 Require inspection ???

100% visual inspection is required. No NDE is required unless specified by contract documents.

D1.1 requires 100% visual inspection of welds (AWS D1.1 2005, 6.9). Dimensional is not specified, but wisdom says a high percentage of pieces should be checked. NDE is per job specs.

For AWS D1.1 applications try Section 6, paragraph 6.9 for visual inspection frequency of inspection; paragraph 6.1.1 for NDT stipulations.
AWS D1.3 does not specify 100% inspection however; paragraph 6.1.1.5 requires weld length, size and location to be per the contract documents. I interpret this as all the welds unless a frequency is specified by the engineer of record.
