I am welding with a WPS (FCAW-Co2+SAW) which is applied on T= 3/4", BM= AH-36, Pos.1G, and no preheating. By the way, I'm welding with FM=E71T-1, SFA 5.20. Is it possible by D1.1? I've had problem with X-Ray ( porosities) All parameters related to cleaning, backgouging were ok.
Can someone answer this issue?
Second thoughts. Is it an FCAW or GMAW process?

sorry, your email is hidden; i would have send a doc to you, any way i gonna try to explain my opignon:
1- you wanted to write AWS 5.20 in lieu of SFA 5.20?
if yes, i'll tell you that you are right.
i think that E71T1 can used to weld grade A/E and AH/EH steel.
i'm i wrong?? i don't think so

HI mjf,

About your opinion 1.
The classification of the filler metal is: E 71T-1. the specification is SFA 5.20. all this is according to ASME Code Section II. I'm wrong? I don't think so.
Yes, this FM is being applied to an AH-36 steel.
My doubt is: An WPS using the parameters edited on my post above is correct or not?
A hug.
