Hi all

i'm an italian boy, and i found just now this forum

I've a big problem

i'm welding for a 1 year ago (or weldbrazing) some particular with base material classified like C45 (european classification) with a ER CuMn13Al7 filler metal.
this welding is like an overlay, but is not an corrosion overlay or hardfacing overlay.
Now all my welding are good and all pieces that i welded are working and are all ok.
Now i wont to qualified this special process according to asme code, but i can't find a comparable material like C45.
2th question:
If asyone have information i'm very happy and gratefull

bye all

http://www.sz-metal.si/selector/steels/C45.html
This page crosses it over as similar to 1045. Google for c45 steel got this and quite a few other hits.

thanks a lot.

Now i know exatily characteristics about c45 steel ( like cct)

But i cn't found a corrispondent with asme code about this material.
How can i qualificated this process?
If i dont have a corrispondent in astm, i can qualified with P and group number.

bye
