Are there any reviews of welding software available that anyone knows about? I am looking for something to organize my WPS/PQR's and Welder Quals as well as standards comparison.

I do not know of any independent reviews, but I will shamelessly plug our software which is produced with and tested by welding engineers and experts at TWI. The software is robust and has a track record of being used over a number of years by a world wide client base.

The software is code compliant to ASME IX, AWS D1.1, EN 287/EN 9606 and EN 288 / 156xx and is updated when any of the new standards are released or updated.

WPS's / PQR's:
Weldspec - http://www.twisoftware.com/weldspec

WPQ's:
Welderqual - http://www.twisoftware.com/weldspec

Additionally, we have recently released an off the shelf Welding Coordinator which you can use for the full site-wide management and traceability of fabrication information with customizable weld datasheets or weldmaps:

Hope this helps.

I have a page on my site with a few links to some companies that make or used to make some welding related software. It can be seen here http://www.weldinginspectionsvcs.com/otherPeoplesWeldingSoftware.htm . No comparisons are made but you may be able to get some ideas of whats out there.

Have a nice Day

You can also check http://www.WPSAmerica.com; please view both demo (1 for prequalified WPS & 2 for custom welding procedures).

Here is general info:

WPSAmerica.com (http://www.WPSAmerica.com) is offering welding procedures software, supporting multiple structural steel welding codes.

-There are over 10,000 prequalified Welding Procedure Specifications (pWPS) available in database, code-checked with AWS D1.1, AWS D1.3 or AWS D1.6 for welding of carbon steel or stainless steel (Pipe, Sheet, Plate).

-Any types of welding procedure can be created online, by using industry standard drop-down featured forms (WPS, PQR), database of base metals, filler metals and pre-drawn joint sketches library.

-You can also create your own Web page, [WPSAmerica.com/YOU], and start collaborate with welding community.

-New features or value-added services are always on the way to benefit members.

Thank you....Hamilton

Hi guys:

This is Hamilton, founder of http://WWW.WPSAMERICA.COM

Thank you for those who contacted me from this board.

Here is an update about WPSAmerica's Welding Software (WPS, PQR):

-Now WPSAmerica's software support all D1 Series Codes (D1.1, D1.2, D1.3, D1.5, D1.6, D9.1) for welding of any steel types and grades, steel sheets, stainless steel and aluminum welding.  New welding joints (Sketches) for Fillet, CJP & PJP have been added for all D1 Series, including an update on database of Filler Metal & Base Metal

Please see both Demo 1 (prequalified WPS) & Demo 2 (custom forms for WPS, PQR) for AWS Codes.

-Also welding community has been added.   There are lots of good stuff about welding, presentations, articles, news, members' profile, links, etc. (it's free).  Each member has a Web page that can add video, pictures, text, etc. about their company's product or services.  For instance, you can see my profile by click on WPSAmeri from the community members list or at: http://www.WPSAmerica.com/user/wpsameri

We are working to add ASME Section IX Code in a month or sooner; I will update Forum once ASME become available to users.

Best Regards....Hamilton
