welding Monel K 500

Best i can tell the appropriate filler wire to weld Monel 500 is ERNiCu-7 does anybody know if this is correct.

For what it is worth-

I have an old Huntington Alloys catalog that lists INCONEL 112 SMAW electrode (AWS ENiCrMo-3) for joining Monel K-500. It did not recommend the GMAW process.

For GTAW, and SAW it also confirmed your idea : ERNiCu-7 , brand name "MONEL Filler Metal 60". (FYI-that is an AWS 5.14, ASME F-42 electrode).

I agree with Bill,

Should be ERNiCu-7 for GTAW. (SFA-5.14) Thats with a Ni of 62.0 to 69.0.
