God save our good old American "Roughnecks" and "Oilfield Trash" living and working in the Gulf and it's ports. May they and their families be safe.

I can't help but wonder how many oilrigs and platforms were able to survive hurricane Katrina's wrath? Some reports stated 160 mile per hour-sustained winds as the storm was approaching the coast. Who knows how strong the gusts?
Several costal and inland refineries down...
The capitulation of New Orleans...
Tragic

I know several of the participants of this board have been in harms way and I'd just like to say that I wish you well and hope that you'll keep us informed of how to help.

Tim,
Every one of us that participate in this forum can do our part by asking God to watch over these people and keep them safe. Our prayers can be our way of supporting them.

Tim,

Take a look at this story from the Denver Post. It has a photograph of a platform that broke free and impacted a bridge.
