I have used Ampco-trode 10 (ERCuAl-2) electrode in GMAW and GTAW processes, but was wondering if anyone has experience using it in a sub-arc process?

This doesnt address your question,,but more of an inquiry. I am in the middle of quoting a job which requires joining 260-HD Brass to a Carbon steel plate section. The print specifies using " Amcpo-trode 10 wire. I researched this wire and found a GMAW wire made by "weld mold" called WeldMode 10.
I have never used this before--any suggestions on it's use??

Ampco-trode 10 is a brand name of product of AMPCO METALS. it complies with ASME SFA 5.7 ERCuAl-2. If the WeldMold 10 product also complies with the same specs then i would make a request with engineering to substitute manufactures.
