Partners,
I have to repair a pump casing in our shop, the casing is Duplex construction (ASTM A890). I need to know the welding procedures and the rod type I have to use? I have experience with Ni-AL-Brz, 316SS and carbon steel, but this is the first time that I have to repair a SS Duplex part.
Can somebody help me (sgabayq@cantv.net) ? English/spanish

You would have to use an Inconel based filler metal. I am not sure what type. The electrode manufacturer should know.

Please be specific as to what grade is being used, then appropriate filler can be selected.I am not sure whether Inconel can be suitable because the service for which it is intended is not known. Please furnish these details.
