I am a Plant Engineer and looking for assistance in certifying, per code ASW 31.1, my mechanics in the Houston area. I do not want to send them to a Trade School or Colleges. There are other plants in the same situation in other cities that can possibly benifit from this information. Any info will be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time.

I have never heard of ASW 31.1. I have however seen ASME B31.1. Could you be a little more specific about what your certification needs are. I would be willing to help you. Click on my name at the top of the post to reveal my e-mail.

Where did you see the reference to AWS 31.1. We are the owners of a large utility and have never heard of it - but have heard of ASME B31.1. An incorrect reference, a typo?
