I've been looking around for some software to handle creaton of welding procedures and fabricatation projects to allow me to trace back which procedures are used for which welds.

I came accross some products from TWI Software:
http://www.weldspec.co.uk for procedures and
http://www.weldingcoordinator.com for traceability

Can anyone give me any information on either of these? From what I've read they seem pretty comprehensive but I'd like some first hand opinions if possible.

Cheers,
Dave

Dave,
I purchased the weldspec. program a few years ago, it is pretty good for procedures as far as AWS D1.1, but it seems to be more geared towards ASME applications. The annual maintence fee is a little steep if you ask me, considering the AWS D1.1 code changes on a 2 year basis. So you really are paying for 1 year when there really isn't any changes after all. Just my personnal thoughts.
