Hi everyone, haven't posted in a while, but I view this forum regularly.
I need to know if a Hi/ Freq. unit ( HF-251-2 ) will work with an inverter?
The inverter is a Phoenix 456 CC/CV. Will it work to weld aluminum in the GTAW proccess?

I don't think you will get what you want from the Phoenix. The Phoenix provides only DC power for GTAW and aluminum is traditionally welded with AC. Heavy sections can be welded with DC- and helium gas but you would not require the High Frequency for this.

Thanks Lawrence, Already have the Phoenix. thinking about buying the Hi/Freq unit. Was hoping the Hi/Freq unit would convert DC to AC so I
could Tig weld some alum. Do you know of any such Hi/Freq unit that
does? If not, What would be the best bet, in your oppinion, the best
machine to GTAW alum. Already have a cobramatic hooked to a 450 power source to Mig alum. Just don't have an AC power source to Tig.
