Hi everybody.
I’m looking for an AWS E71T-1 wire, which can be worked in spray mode and string bead in vertical position. Has somebody used ESAB Co. wire nos. “OK Tubrod 15.15” or “FILARC PZ 6113” before? In their technical data sheet is mentioned that they are high productive wires in vertical position and spray transfer mode.

I have not used the two which you mentioned, however, I have used the "ESAB dual shield 7100 Ultra" wire with great success, at the steel mill I used to work at in Ar. That was about the only wire we used, we welded the furnaces with this wire and used c02 for the shielding gas. All welds were ut tested and all passed, Good all around product, Also used other ESAB filler's with good results, hope this helps.

We use some of the ESAB Dual Sheild Arc 71 E71T-1 1/16" dia. 100% CO2 wire on a few machines here, but we use it in 1G and 2G and it passes UT without any problems, and the visuals are good, slag is easy to chip(practically falls off on it's own). ESAB's website has the optimum parameters to run it out of position, might give these a try.

1/16" vertical/up: DCEP 25V, 220A
1/16" overhead: DCEP 28V, 240A
3/8" - 3/4" ESO
gas flow rate 30 - 40cfh w/ a dew point of less than -40F
