Hi everyone. I would like to get into welding. I just like fixing stuff around the house and cars and i would like to get a welder. I have look and read around for different welders for home use, and found the Millermatic 135 and the Hobart Handler 140. I was wondering which one would you recommend for a first time welder? And which one would be better for my needs?

Thanks in advance

They are both good machines for the beginner, I prefer the MM135, but they are both manufactured by ITW companies so they are in fact cousins so to speak. I have several friends with the mm135 and they love them. You can meet some of them on the Ask Andy welding forum sponsored by miller. www.millermotorsports.com is the address.

Welcome to the world of welding,
pjs
