What kind of shop is your shop?
We will be building vessels for production units and dehydrators & separators.
Contact Walt Sperko, he is the best of the best in helping shops set up for ASME Code stamps. www.sperkoengineering.com
Mr. Sperko is Vice Chair of ASME Section IX and has been teaching ASME courses for many, many years. One of his specialties is assisting companies to meet code requirements without killing themselves in doing so!
There are several codes that are in use depending on whether your expertise is pressure vessel fabrication, pressure vessel repair or structural steel. These 3 are controlled by the American Society of Mechanical Engineer (ASME), the National Board of Boiler & Pressure Vessel Inspectors, or American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC), respectively. I believe AWS has a certification program for steel fabricators also. Since you mentioned "code stamp", I'm assuming you mean ASME or National Board. Info on ASME stamp holder programs can be found here:

Info on a National Board "R" stamp for pressure vessel repairs can be found here:

Thank everybody for your help and yes it is for ASME code shop.
Contact Sperko.
In my 33 years of welding; 26 of which being ASME related, I have never met a more knowledgeable, yet down to earth guy. You can't go wrong. FYI, Hartford charges about $6000.00 to come in and "help" you get your program going.
Go to asme.org and click on their certification and accreditation tab. Here you will find everything you need to become "coded". You will have to dig around a bit to find what you are looking for, depending on the type of cert. you want.
I am also currently in the process of gaining my code stamps, so if you need any help, I'll be glad to help you.
