welding 2 inch Schedule 160/ER70-2

What does a weld test of this nature consist of etc,refinnery weld test. Tig root & hot with stringer cap?

It would vary from one company to the next. It could be all SMAW, all GTAW, a combination or both, all depending on the fluid passing through the pipe, piping material, service class, etc.

I give that test to my welders. TIG root, fill, and cap in the 6G position. They all say it's a piece of cake.

TIG root, fill, and cap in the 6G position is a piece of cake, but only if you are an experienced welder or you have the coordination to become a good welder.
