TIG Footpedal

I've got a Century 295 amp AC/ 250 amp DC (5 STAR) welder with an HF buzz box kit and TIG conversion. The problem is (of course) that when the argon is turned on, the gas runs continuously through the TIG torch whether the TIG is operating or not and the applied current is a constant and not adjustible. I would like to run a foot pedal with this rig so that the argon flows and the current is applied when the foot pedal is depressed. Can a Lincoln Welder (Lincoln bought out Century) TIG foot pedal be configured to work with a configuration like this?

All of the Century high freq boxes I've worked on in the last thirty years
have had a fingertip control gas valve in the handle (factory model).
Never seen one with a amp pedal; most people set the jack plugs or shunt as close as they can and go for it, as has been covered on this forum a few days ago. You might try Lincoln Electric/WCTA tech service at 86.236.0044, option 3. Good luck!

Icharus I'm wondering if you have ever found anything out on your situation. I have basically the exact same setup as you and was thinking the same thing about foot control and haven't found anything please reply if you have.
