no one is there to help?

Please let us know your opinions about the quality of pipeline welding using the following welding generators:
1) DC power (LINCOLN SAE 400, etc.)
2) Rectified DC, the output of a synchronous generator rectified and smoothed through power rectifier and reactor (MILLER Big Blue 400/ 500/ 600, etc.)
3) Rectified DC by chopper technology, output of an asynchronous generator rectified through SCR & electronic controls (GenSet MPM 20/500, etc.)

It is a fact that the output produced by the DC generator will be superior for welding, however, it would be advantageous to share the experiences with the latest machines, as asynchronous generators and inverters are extensively replacing the DC and brush type generators considering the operational/ maintenance costs
