ANYONE ??

We are quoting some work from France and am UN-able to decipher their weld callouts?? Does anyone have a reference to these or understand them?? We received very limited information and of course they specified NO code to be welded to other than their own spec, which of course we dont have.

Thanks in advance

Do you have any examples that you can show/tell about?

I'll try to describe a symbol John

4 ( fillet symbol) 4 x 35 (35)
reference line.......................
4 ( fillet symbol) 4 x 35 ( 35)

This is one example---the rest are the same structure of a symbol just different numbers.

Thank you

Be aware that the Volvo welding symbols are a subset of the ISO welding symbols. There may be some differences between the two. Just rembember that in the ISO welding symbol system the dotted line represents the "other side" of the weld joint and can be above or below the solid reference line. Thus, the welding symbol on the dotted line represent the weld on the other side of the joint and can be below or above the reference line.

Good luck - Al
