Hi all,

I am looking for information if any part in ASME Sec. VIII Div. 1 gives information how to proceed with following problem. We are welding a reinforcement plate for support legs on a shell. The reinforcement plate will extend over the circumferential weld from head to shell. I found only UG-82 with the information to ground flush the weld.
Is their any information that we have to make any additional NDT test over the required spot NDT for the 0.85 welding factor?
