Cast Iron with material: GHISA SFER.GS.400/12-UNI EN 1563. Chemical composition (%): Fe=93,8; C=3,789; Si=1,832; P=0,054;S=0,038; Cr=0,035; Mn=0,161; Mg=0,033; Mo=0.037; Ni=0,051; Sn=0,043; Cu=0,060; Pb=0,002
Can we weld it together ? If weld, what kind of stick electrode do we use? Please help me! Thanks a lot.

The words "Ghisa sfer." mean, in Italian, "Ghisa sferoidale", i.e., nodular cast iron. "UNI" means "Unificazione Italiana", the Italian equivalent of ASTM. So, you already know what kind of material is and which standard it follows.
Rather than me, I'd prefer that somebody else who's more familiar than me with cast iron welding, gives you a sound advice.

Thanks your reply! Please tell me that who know to weld Cast Iron with the material above, and what type of electrode rod do I use to weld this Cast Iron? Do I need to preheat and postheat this material?

I have a 10 pages guideline with title of “MMA Welding Cast Iron” from ESAB Company that has very useful information. I’ve scanned it for you. Tell me what your email address is to send it for you.

Hello George,  Many months have passed since you posted last, but with any luck, you may see this.  Would you mind sending the 10 pages to one more person?  I have the whole book from ESAB on mig welding, and it is quite good.  I am going to be welding an antique tractor manifold, and could use all the help I can get.  Thank you.  Greg
