Any info on welding titanium would be helpful. Never welded it before. Friend has 1/2" to 1/2" to weld and was wondering what rod, pre-heat min. & max., Does it need tempered? Any help would be great. Thanks.
You need to know what grade of Titanium your friend is welding. To the most complete list given by NDT III, I'd add one I always recommend when titanium welding is involved: www.timet.com It's the site of The Titanium Corp. of America, the world top specialists in that metal. Giovanni S. Crisi Sao Paulo - Brazil
