I think we should come to a consensus on how posts get rated. Does 1 diamond mean it is good or bad? I know 1 diamond will make your avg rating go down so is 3 diamonds a great post and 2 an average post while 1 would be a crappy? I noticed that the fella that called someone a name for posting in spanish had an avg rating of 3 because he attempted to apologize. Maybe this has already been covered but I missed it.
I noticed that each of us has a post rating in our profile ranging from 1 to 3 red diamonds. I have also noticed that sometimes those 1 to 3 diamonds will appear in a thread next to one of our posts. What determines when they appear in the thread and will it allways be the number of red diamonds that is in your profile that shows up in the thread regardless of how good a post it is? I hope I'm not the only one raising my hand about this.:-)
Ross, do you give us the rating in our profile our do our peers give it? Our is it just a rating on the avg amount of posts you give a day, week or something?
Any forum user who reads a post can hit the "Rate" link under the post and give it from 1 to 3 diamonds. The average of the ratings is displayed next to the post. The overall average of all of the poster's ratings from his/her posts is in the poster's profile.
