Up Topic Welding Industry / Technical Discussions / WFS FOR DIFFERENT METAL THICKNESSES - A GUIDELINE CHART
- - By Scott AZ Date 07-10-2008 18:51
Hello,
I am inquiring about the WFS (Wire Feed Speed) needed for different metals.  A general guideline chart would be most helpful.  I'm attempting to use this in a quoting excersize.
Thanks in advance for any assitance,
Scott

Go the the web site of a filler metal manufacturer and check their product list.

Another posibility would be to check [on line or on paper] the manuals for various welding machines. Most of the self contained units have a chart showing the settings for various material thicknesses, but some might be machine numbers/letters rather than actual wire feed units [imp, etc.]
